Ombudsman Order of 3 January 2014
In a 3 January 2014 Order, the Office of the Deputy Ombudsman for Luzon directs former City Mayor Edward Solon Hagedorn of Puerto Princesa City to submit his counter-affidavit and of his witnesses, if any, and such other controverting evidence, if any.

The case, docketed OMB L-C-13-0453, is for a violation of Section 7 of Republic Act 3019, Section 7(a) and (b) and Section 8 of Republic Act 6713 and Article 183 of the Revised Penal Code.

Section 7 of RA 3019 deals with the violation of the command for public officials to submit TRUE and DETAILED Statement of Assets and Liabilities.

If Hagedorn is found to have violated this provision he will be imprisoned for one year or fined P100 to P1,000.

Section 7(a) of RA 6713 deals with violation of having financial interest in any transaction requiring the approval of the violator's office.  If found guilty, Hagedorn will be imprisoned for 5 years or less or fined P5,000 or less.

Section 7(b) of RA 7(b) deals with being a director of any private corporation. Hagedorn was found to be a director-stockholder of private corporations and there were 6 during his incumbency as mayor of Puerto Princesa from 2004 up to 2009.  If found guilty, he is also liable to 5 years or less of imprisonment or a fine of P5,000.

Section 8 of RA 6713 deals with violation in Statement of Assets and Liabilities and the penalty for such is at least 5 years of imprisonment or a fine of P5,000.

Article 183 of the Revised Penal Code deals with the act of falsely testifying on his SALN and is punished with arresto mayor maximum to prision correccional minimum.
